How to make a patu

Writing Genre: Procedural Writing
WALT: write the instructions on how to make a patu.
SC:
  1. Each instruction must instruct one action.
  2. Each instruction must start with a command verb. i.e. Cut out, Sand, Put, Make, Paint, Varnish…
  3. Each instruction must be in sequence and understand by the reader.
  4. Assess your procedural writing to Success Criteria numbers to 1, 2 and 3.
Remember to check your Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation before your writing buddy assesses 1, 2 and 3.

How to make a Patu.

Equipment Requirements.
  1. A File or Rasp
  2. A Chisel and Mallet
  3. A Sanding Wheel
  4. The Drill
  5. Pallet Wood
  6. Vise
  7. A hand saw
  8. Electric Bandsaw

Instructions.
  1.    Cut your pallet wood to size.
  2.    Draw the shape of your patu.
  3.    Cut out the shape on your wood.
  4.    Rasp and sand your patu till smooth.
  5.    Drill holes with the Hole drill for your gaps.
  6.    Cut around the holes with the handsaw .
  7.    Draw the pattern that you want painted on your patu.
  8.    Paint over your pencil marks.
  9.    Leave to dry for 20 mins.
  10. Follow up with touch ups.
  11. Look at finished product.
